Biography

Celina Edmonds describes herself as a "juggler". She's trying to find a balance between the demanding role of a news presenter with Network Ten and the equally challenging job of being a mother to three young children.

Celina has spent the past 14 years in the media, working as a journalist in newspapers, radio and television. For the last six years she has been dedicated to news presenting.

Celina began her career in country New South Wales as a journalist on daily newspapers in Bathurst and Orange. She started in television as a reporter with Prime in Orange, before moving to WIN Television in Wollongong.

In 1995 Celina ed ABC TV-News in Hobart. She was the police and court reporter, as well as the weekend news presenter. Celina gained national attention for her work on the Port Arthur massacre and the court case of Martin Bryant. She was part of the Hobart team that won a Logie for their coverage of the tragedy.

Celina supports many charities. She believes she's blessed to have a healthy family and particularly likes to support charities and causes for children. She is an ambassador for Variety.

She is also a supporter of the Education Department's Public Speaking unit and assists with their tournaments and competitions.
