Craig Bellamy is Head Coach of the Melbourne Storm - his first senior coaching appointment in the National Rugby League.

Prior to moving to Melbourne, Bellamy had impressive coaching apprenticeships with the Canberra Raiders and Brisbane Broncos.

Following his retirement as a Canberra Raiders player in 1992, Bellamy moved immediately into coaching. He was the Raiders' Presidents Cup coach 1993 to 1995, guiding the team to premiership honours in the final year.

He moved to Brisbane in 1998 as first grade assistant coach and performance co-ordinator and earned widespread recognition for his contributions to the Broncos grand final successes in 1998 and 2000.

After earlier knocking back an opportunity to coach West Tigers, Bellamy was offered the Melbourne Storm head coaching position at the end of the 2002 season following the departure of Mark Murray. His appointment is for two years (2003 and 2004).
