Biography

Jacqui Cooper was the 1999 World Champion and World Cup Freestyle Overall Champion in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Her career highlights include 16 World Cup wins and 27 World Cup medals (15 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze).

In recent times, she attracted accolades when she qualified first for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turino, Italy, with a world-record score. She then went on to win her 16th World Cup in Davos, Switzerland.

This latest victory places her tantalisingly close to equalling the all-time aerial skiing record of 17 career victories; just one more championship win is needed.

In addition to her impressive achievements in her chosen sport, Jacqui is also Deputy Chair of the Australian Olympic Committee's Athletes Commission and is a key figure fronting the AOC's 'Live Clean, Play Clean' anti-doping campaign. When not competing or training, Jacqui is based in Melbourne.

Apart being one of the world's best aerialists, she first featured in a Warren Miller film 15 years ago purely on the basis of her downhill skiing strengths. She also has extensive experience in public speaking.
