Biography

Mark Aiston has been working in the Australian media business since 1982.

He began as a race caller at radio station 5DN and is now Network Ten's key sports presenter on the 5.00 PM local news service. he is also a co presenter on the breakfast show at Mix 102.3 Adelaide highest rating FM radio station.

Along the way Mark worked as a TV presenter and radio commentator at The ABC and a sports show host at radio stations FiveAA, TripleM and SEN Sport.

At Network Ten, Mark has worked on many national TV programs. The Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix, The Sydney Olympics, The Melbourne Commonwealth Games, The Melbourne Cup, Bathurst and the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race.

Mark also gives up his time for charities. He is extremely passionate about helping those with depression and is a regular speaker at Stand up with Confidence" a course run by nationally acclaimed comedian Dave Flanagan and his wife Sue which helps people who are unemployed gain confidence and get back into the work place.

Mark is one of the countries most accomplished corporate hosts and runs his own media training business Mediainsider.

Mark also offers a corporate media education presentation. The 50 minute sessions focus on the media, how the media operates, and how clients can utilize the media to their advantage. A member of the audience is interviewed on camera.

Mark is joined by fellow Television presenter Ron Kandelaars. A keynote presentation is included, and a full camera kit is used for the on camera performances which are played back for critiquing. It's a lot of fun and highly interactive.

Mark gained international coverage early in 2011 when his manhood was questioned live on air by his news reading host Belinda Heggen. The clip went viral with over 8 million hits. Mark is still recovering from the experience.

Mark Is married to Judith and has a daughter Bridget. He has a Dog Bundy, 5 chooks and two cats Cloe and Sasha
