Biography

Tracey Spicer is one of the most experienced news presenter/reporters on commercial television, with a career spanning 16 years.

After graduating Queensland's University of Technology with a journalism degree and a radio scholarship, Tracey started her career with Macquarie News station 4BH as a cadet journalist.

Pursuing her career in radio, Tracey moved to respected news/talk station 3AW in Melbourne as chief police reporter, before being promoted to breakfast news editor.

Keen for a new challenge, Tracey ed Southern Cross Television in Gippsland, covering the court and industrial rounds as well as presenting the nightly news.

After honing her skills in the country, Tracey was approached by Channel Nine in Melbourne. Tracey ed the Nine Network as a news and current affairs reporter for Melbourne Extra and National Nine News.

Tracey ed Network TEN first as a reporter in Melbourne, then as co-presenter of the FIRST AT FIVE NEWS in Brisbane. She moved to Sydney in 1995 to present the national FIRST AT FIVE and LATE NEWS. Tracey now presents the national 11.30am news during the week and the national weekend news.

Apart news and current affairs, Tracey's other passion is charity work. Combining these two loves, she has made two documentaries on the work of World Vision in Africa and Bangladesh and the WorldWide Fund For Nature in Papua New Guinea and Malaysia.
