Kim Watkins

Kim Watkins is currently Co-Host, with David Reyne, on Ten's new morning program 9.00 AM, broadcast live Ten's Melbourne studios each weekday nationally.

Kim is a trusted and respected television personality with a well established career in journalism news and lifestyle programs. She began her TV career when she was only 12, as co-host on the popular Nine Network children's show You Asked For It, later re-named Boomerang. The program took her around Australia, Papua New Guinea and the West Coast of America, reporting on interesting places and people. She was a natural in front of the camera, loved the adventure and variety and after 4 years of reporting she decided to pursue a career in journalism.

Away from work, Kim enthusiastically supports the special care unit at the Royal Women's' hospital at Randwick, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation at Royal North Shore Hospital, and is passionate about fighting childhood obesity. She rollerblades and does Yoga to stay fit. Kim is also adventurous and recently made it to the podium in the 2006 Celebrity Grand Prix race, becoming the first female place getter in the mixed race.
