Neville Roach

Neville Roach is Chairman of Fujitsu Australia and has been head of the company since 1989. He has had an extensive career in the IT and telecommunications industry in both technical and management roles, commencing with IBM Australia with whom he held a variety of positions 1965 to 1980.

Neville's steady career progression in the IT industry technical to management roles culminated with his ing Fujitsu in 1980 as National Systems Engineering Manager and subsequent promotion to Managing Director in 1989. He was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1997. In addition, Neville is a director of Fujitsu in New Zealand, India and Asia.

Neville's contribution to the development of the IT and telecommunications industry in Australia has been outstanding, particularly as Chairman of the Australian Information Industry Association 1994 to 1998 and as a member of the Australian Information Industry Taskforce 1996 to 1998 and the Victorian Premier's Communications and Multimedia Taskforce 1996 to 1999. In addition, he is the President of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation and Deputy Chairman of the television and radio network, SBS.
