Bob Brown

Bob Brown was born in 1969 in London. A keen sportsman a very early age he ran his first half marathon aged 13.
After leaving school and finding the challenge of a marathon not enough, he turned to triathlons whilst completing a degree in economics at London University.
In 1990 he finished the first ever Ironman triathlon (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle, 26.2 mile run) to be held in Britain at the tender age of 21. The next few years were spent becoming the best Ironman athlete in Britain, competing successfully on the World Ironman Circuit, including 5 successive finishes in the Hawaii Ironman World Championships.
But it wasn't enough for Bob. He turned to ultra triathlons and stunned the triathlon world by finishing 2nd in the World Triple Ironman Championships (7.2 mile swim, 336 mile bike, 78 mile run) in his first attempt, despite not being able to hold down any food or drink for the entire run.
