Bronte Barratt

Queenslander Bronte Barratt is considered one of the brightest prospects in Australian swimming.

Barratt has had sensational success in Australian age championships over the years, winning nine national titles by age 15. In 2005, she again dominated the junior ranks, taking home five gold medals at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships.

Barratt was a rookie member of the Australian World Championship team in Montreal where she produced a great third leg in the silver medal winning 4x200m Freestyle Relay.

Barratt qualified for her first Commonwealth Games in 2006 and reaffirmed her immense talent by winning gold in the Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay and bronze in the 400m Freestyle.

Barratt is currently completing her final year of high school and has her sights set on the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
