Biography
Alan Oxley is one of Australia's most higly sought-after analysts on international issues. He is a regular keynote speaker on global trends at national and international conferences. Audiences value his insights and find him stimulating and informative.
Alan believes Australia will flourish in the twenty-first century. Globalisation creates opportunities, not threats for Australia. he was Australian Ambassador to the GATT, the predecessor of the World Trade Organisation and was the first Australian to serve as GATT Chairman. As a diplomat he represented Australia in Singapore, at the United Nations in New York and in Geneva.
His advice is sought on the impact of globilisation and how to benefit it. Alan's book on global trade was acclaimed by The Economist magazine and is a regular commentator on the subject in the media. His most recent book, Seize the Future is an optimistic look at Australia's future in the 21st Century.
