Biography

In an environment dominated by former AFL players, Anthony Hudson's rise to become a highly respected and recognisable football personality is impressive.

His calls are always passionate and well informed, providing listeners with an accurate and entertaining account of the on-field action.

Hudson began his broadcasting career as a journalist in the 3AW newsroom back in 1989, before enjoying a brief stint at Channel 10 as a sports reporter.

"Huddo" returned to 3AW in 1995 and quickly became an integral part of the station's award winning commentary team alongside football larrikins Rex Hunt and Sam Newman.

Following a stint with the Seven Network in 2000-01 as a commentator and boundary rider, Hudson returned to Channel Ten in 2002, heading the station's Saturday afternoon coverage.

Hudson also spent two years as co-host of Before The Game on Ten with comedian Peter Helliar.

His radio expertise saw him play a key role in the set-up of SEN's foray into AFL match broadcasting in 2007, hosting and calling several games each week.

With almost 20 years in the sports media to his name, Hudson is one of Australia's true on-air stars.
