Biography
David Powell is an engaging, internationally experienced and highly effective facilitator - specialising in assisting leadership teams in developing inspiring future vision and success strategies and helping them tackle tough, seemingly intractable challenges.
Why use a facilitator? It is not easy for any senior executive to both manage the context of an important meeting and take an active part in the content discussions especially when participants may strongly express divergent views. That is why they ask David to facilitate their strategic workshops - freeing them to participate fully and ensure the team converges on optimum solutions.

David is the Managing Director of Corporate Leadership and the internationally acclaimed author of Spirit Intelligence. His facilitation approaches are pragmatic and highly effective. He provides his clients with a range of practical tools and approaches to help tap the full power of the mind, the passion of the emotions and the enthusiasm, motivation, commitment, initiative, creativity, resilience and persistence of the spirit of business.

In his workshops, he combines humour, energy, passion and a wealth of personal experience to facilitate active participation, creative thought, skills enhancement and achieving the required success outcomes.
David was educated at the City of London School and gained a first class honours degree in Chemical Engineering from Edinburgh University, followed by postgraduate studies in Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney. His corporate career spanned 14 years in Oil and Gas where he worked with BP, AGL and Amoco and 10 years in Information Technology with ICL and Tandem where he held senior marketing and general management roles.
