Biography

Known as one of Australia's most accomplished backstroke swimmers, Nicole Livingstone won nine consecutive national titles in the Women's 100m backstroke event. She has won two bronze medals and a silver at Olympic level, as well as six gold, two silver and one bronze medal at Commonwealth Games.

Upon retiring from the sport in 1996, she turned her love of athletics into an illustrious television career. Hosting programs such as Wide World of Sports and Sports Saturday for Australia's Channel Nine, Nicole has had the privilege of commentating on a variety of events, including Channel Nine's coverage of the Commonwealth Games.

After nearly ten years of working with Channel Nine, Nicole expanded her career in 2006, hosting the popular Any Given Sunday with her co-anchor Mick Molloy. This earned her a spot with Ten News, in which she currently works presenting the sports segments for the channel. Nicole also makes regular guest appearances on The Project and The Circle. In support of Australian Sports, Nicole is also a member of VicHealth and the State Sports Centre Trust.

She was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 1997, the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 and was inducted into the Victorian Women's Honour Roll in 2006.

She sits on the board of the Australian Sports Anti Doping Authority (ASADA) and the State Sports Centre Trust. She also chairs the Victorian Government's Community Advisory on Body Image, is patron of Ovarian Cancer Australia and was recently appointed to the board of Swimming Australia.

Nicole Livingstone's extensive training and knowledge in the world of sports, her unique ability to flourish in the very different careers of swimming and television, and the nearly two decades she has spent in front of the camera have given her a strong foundation for not only being able to deliver inspiring, informational speeches, but also the eloquence to do so.

As a public speaker, Nicole is engaging, articulate and charming, making her the perfect guest for any number of events.
