Peter Moon's acting career began at the age of ten in a ten-minute film called 'Bake a Cake' which was screened on ABC children's television. At the age of fifteen he recalls appearing in one of the worst sitcoms ever to appear on Australian TV (and he says that's really saying something). After this he gave up acting in disgust, finished school, went on to University to get an arts degree and became a secondary teacher for five years. He wrote and performed as part of cabaret troupe 'Hieronymous Bosch' and then went into stand up comedy for a while.

He is perhaps best known for his many popular characters Fast Forward including Victor - the Russian Current Affairs host and 'most unattractive man', the Indian Carpet Salesman, Neil Babbage of Delicate Funerals, Guru Swami BuggertherestofyouI'malrightthanksjack-ji and Barry of Brent Smythe and Barry Advertising. He played roles in numerous TV shows including Prisoner, Cop Shop, Special Squad, Boys the Bush and All the Way. His radio career started during the last year of Fast Forward on Fox-FM. His show became the top FM breakfast show in Melbourne. He went on to Wendy Harmer and Paul Holmes on the 2DAY-FM Morning Crew in 1995 in a show that was, for some 7 years, consistently the top FM Breakfast performer in Sydney.
