Biography

Sally Loane is the host of the Morning program on 702 ABC Sydney. She's tenacious, talented and brings more than 25 years of journalistic experience in radio, television and print to the microphone.

Sally has an extensive background in reporting on political, social and consumer issues.

Following her graduation the University of Queensland, she worked with major Australian newspapers in Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney and internationally in Durban, South Africa. Her first book, Who Cares? Guilt, Hope and the Child-Care Debate was published in 1997. Sally contributed to the 2002 Random House book: "What Women Want" with a chapter called "Losing John".

Sally enjoys creating challenging radio on ABC Local Radio, whether its politics or the who's who of Australia and overseas.

Her focus is on the major news and current events stories of the day and listeners have plenty of opportunity to have their views heard on the program.

Sally Loane has a great deal of experience in public speaking both as a guest speaker and as an MC, or facilitator.
