Biography

Sheryle Moon is the Chief Executive Officer for the National Association of Women in Construction. The Association is the peak industry body for Women in the built environment. 

The Association aims to help women succeed in a male dominated workplaces; assist organisations develop the attraction, retention and promotion activities for them to encourage women into the sector and influence government policy around safe workplaces, gender equality and skills training.

Sheryle has worked for more than 25 years in the professional services sector. Previous roles in ICT include CEO of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) and the Australian Institute of Project Management, Vice President of Computer Sciences Corporation, and managing partner with Accenture. Sheryle was the Global program Owner for Front end Applications for Fortune 500 company Manpower. In the Human Services space she was the Australia and New Zealand President for ASX listed Ross Human Directions. She has significant experience in the transformational change environment and how to deliver the people, process and technology solutions that help organisations achieve their potential.

Sheryle is an accredited psychological styles practitioner and helps individuals and organisations gain a greater awareness in order to develop high performing people and companies.

Her expertise and experience in the ICT sector is recognised by her inclusion on multiple boards advising the Australian government on attraction and retention strategies for young people to the ICT industry, the retention of women in the industry sector and the ICT priorities for Australia. In 2001, she was recognised by John Howard during his tenure as Prime Minister as one of the 20 most influential women in Australia and included in the Foundation program for Honouring Women.

In 1999, Sheryle was named Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year, and a year later inducted into the Business Women's Hall of Fame. 

She was inducted into the ANU Hall of Fame for her contribution to Australian business prosperity nd the ICT industry. She is an Adjunct Professor attached to the Governance Institute at the University of Canberra, a member of the ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science Industry Advisory Board and a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.

She sits on a number of private sector and Australian Government advisory boards. She has a Bachelor of Economics and a number of postgraduate qualifications, including a Masters of Management in Technology.


Sheryle is an author and has published two books.The first in 2001 is a treatise on the attitudes of young Australians towards careers and jobs in the science, engineering and technology sectors. SET for Life provided a number of recommendations to government and industry to develop solutions to the attraction of young people into these industries which underpin prosperity in Australia. Her second book, SelfScape, describes practical strategies for achieving success and life/work balance in today's hectic world. Sheryle is currently translating her life balance and success strategies work into a mobile app.
