Television reporter and former sports caster, Anthony Peridis is an adventurous, entertaining and high energy presenter on the Seven Network’s Sydney Weekender. He joined the network in 2008 after a decade of sports reporting and presenting, most recently on SBS.

Current work

Whether it’s jumping out of a plane at 14 thousand feet, parasailing behind a speedboat, competing in triathlons or swimming with sharks, Anthony is more thank likely to be right in the middle of the action. He is the man for all seasons – surf or ski slopes, outback or highrise.

Anthony is an active member of the North Cronulla Surf Lifesaving club and the Cronulla Seagulls Football Club. He is also a qualified scuba diver and has various instructing certificates ranging from Kayaking to abseiling. He has also represented at State level, NSW in two sports.

As a passionate presenter, media personality and sportsman, Anthony is also a dynamic and entertaining Master of Ceremonies for all types of events.

Previous experience

Media: Anthony kicked of his media career in radio providing live crosses for Triple M Rock Patrols in Sydney. He moved across to television to work behind the scenes as a sports producer on the Seven Network’s successful breakfast show ‘Sunrise’. It wasn’t long before he jumped on camera, on location and behind the desk to cover some of the biggest stories in sport. He claims the covering of the 2006 Socceroos World Cup campaign as a career highlight.

Background: Born and bred in “The Shire” in Sydney’s South, Anthony isn’t happy unless he’s playing some sort of sport, especially if the activity involves the great outdoors.
