Caitlin Figueiredo is one of Australia’s foremost changemakers, impacting the lives of 4.5 million young people.

Driven by a commitment to empower youth in politics, Caitlin serves as the Chair of the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition, the national peak for young people and the youth sector, and is the Founder of the global Girls Takeover Parliament movement. In her transformative seven-year leadership at AYAC, Caitlin revitalised the peak body, fostering diversity and sustainability, establishing a dedicated Minister for Youth and a $10.5 million investment in youth affairs by the Australian Government.

At the age of 22, Forbes acknowledged Caitlin as a ‘visionary change maker’ and included her in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Her impactful advocacy in youth development and gender equality has garnered prestigious accolades, including recognition as a Queen’s Young Leader, the youngest winner of Australia’s ‘100 Women of Influence Young Leader category,’ a Global Changemaker for Gender Equality by former First Lady Michelle Obama, and the 2024 ACT Young Australian of the Year.
