Since being discovered performing stand-up in a dingy Collingwood pub over 15 years ago, the warm and vibrant Jo Stanley has risen to become a household name-and for good reason!

Jo’s talent, humour and warm personality make her a popular and much-loved Aussie star. And with her diverse skills and wealth of experience, we’re sure we’re only going to be seeing more of her.

Current work

At present, Jo can be found writing her hilarious and heartwarming columns for Sunday Life Magazine and Jo’s warm and infectious personality shines through in her opinion articles on fashion, beauty, culture and parenthood, as well as the occasional celebrity interview.

At the same time, Jo is also currently an ambassador for the Ronald McDonald House, Smiling Mind, The Smith Family and The Big Issue, a patron for The Lighthouse Foundation and a supporter of the Salvation Army and the Sacred Heart Mission.

Previous experience

Radio: Born and raised in Melbourne, Jo Stanley rose to fame in 2003 as one half of The Matt & Jo Show, the hilarious and heartwarming breakfast radio duo on Fox FM. Together with funnyman Matt Tilley, Jo enjoyed 10 successful years of breakfast radio-at their peak, the duo was the most listened-to radio show in the country, with a whopping 6 years at number one.

Famous for their banter and warm authenticity, The Matt & Jo Show brightened up weekday mornings with plenty of stories, jokes and celebrity interviews. Over their ten-year run, Matt & Jo interviewed a number of big name celebs, including Matt Damon, Hugh Jackman, Lady Gaga, Nicole Kidman and Beyoncé.

GOLD: In early 2016, she joined the breakfast team at GOLD 104.3, alongside Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann. Together, the pair hosted new morning radio show Jo & Lehmo for Breakfast. The on-air chemistry between Jo & Lehmo was clear to see with the show’s ratings growing consistently, culminating in the show rating the Number 1 FM breakfast show in Melbourne after the radio ratings survey results in November 2017- the best result for the station in over ten years.

TV: Aside from her vibrant career in radio, Jo has also appeared on several TV shows across various networks-including the ABC, Comedy Channel, Network Ten, Network Seven and the Nine Network. In December 2017 Jo joined the team at House of Wellness TV as presenter and occasional fill-in host, exploring the world of health and wellbeing, addressing your health concerns in an entertaining, interactive and informative format.

Cmoedian: Having begun her career as a stand-up comedian, Jo is a dynamic and entertaining speaker, workshop facilitator and MC – funny, vulnerable, passionate and smart. She brings with her a great sense of humour and an honest, open approach, Jo frequently speaks on topics such as personal brand, empowerment, purpose, resilience and mindfulness.

With years of industry experience, a wealth of knowledge and her ability to connect with her audience, has lead her to work with a diverse range of organisations including NAB, Westpac, Medibank, Kikki K, Southern Cross Austereo, Melbourne University Business School, AFL, Ella Bache, Fernwood Fitness, GAP and New Idea Magazine.
