Marty Coffey

Australia's greatest comedy juggler.

Profile

A native of the United States, as a teenager Marty was one of San Francisco’s original and most succesful buskers. Winning a street performing compitition that brought him to Australia, in the 80s he was an integral part of Australia’s burgeoning new wave comedy scene, and eventually landed a starring role in the popular musical Sugar Babies. You may not know it, but you’ve more than likely seen Marty Coffey perform, as he has since then appeared on every major television show in the country.

Previous experience:
Marty’s act is a clever combination of spectacular juggling, fire eating and death defying feats, all wrapped up in his unique and fast-paced humour. Among his routines are the uproarious apple, bowling ball and egg juggle (in which the apple is eaten), the dangerous objects juggle atop a two metre unicycle (in which Marty enlists the help of the audience in getting started), and of course his now famous finisher: the chainsaw juggle. His deftness for combining hilarious patter, visual surpise gags and tension building stunts is guaranteed to keep your audience on the edge of their seats.
