Shane Bourne is a familiar and popular figure on Australian television and stage. A renowned television personality and actor, he has also done extensive stage acting and comedic work.

Current experience:

One of Australia’s most well known and well respected actors Shane Bourne has entertained audiences of film, theatre and TV for many years. He received critical acclaim for his role in the MDA series as medical lawyer ‘Happy’ Henderson earned him an AFI nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in TV Drama or Comedy in 2002. He won the award in 2003 and received a Logie nomination in the same year.

He has gained further acclaim from his role as host on the hit Channel Ten comedy Thank God Your Here and as the lead in Channel Seven’s City Homicide Shane has appeared on television as a regular on variety and talkback shows over the years and gained national prominence appearing on the fondly remembered Hey Hey It’s Saturday.

Previous experience:

Shane is also a Green Room Award-winning stage actor. Performances include a successful national tour of 12 Angry Men, the Melbourne Theatre Company’s productions of Twelfth Night and the musical comedy Urinetown.
