Stephen Quartermain began his career as a journalist with Leader newspapers in 1980 before moving to the ABC in 1982 where he covered politics, police, industrial rounds and sport.

Current work

Stephen also works as a private consultant, with his own media business “Quartertime”.

Previous experience

Channel 10: He joined Channel 10 in December 1984, where he has remained ever since.

Coverage: Over the years, as well as a sports and news presenter on Eyewitness news, Stephen has covered numerous Olympic and Commonwealth Games, World championships, appeared on shows such as the Panel and was the lead host of its AFL broadcasts… covering 10 grand finals and 5 Brownlow medals.

Radio: He has also worked on radio for the past two decades with MMM, 3AW, ABC and SEN… predominantly calling AFL football.
