Terry McCrann

Hard-hitting business and political commentary.

Profile

Terry McCrann has been a journalist for nearly half-a-century.

Current work

For the last 40 years he has written a daily commentary on business, investment, the economy and (increasingly) politics, and the way they all intersect.

His columns run in News Ltd papers across Australia, including the Herald Sun in Melbourne, the Daily Telegraph in Sydney, the Brisbane Courier Mail and the Weekend Australian.

He is regularly sought for commentary on radio and TV and for 20 years provided a weekly commentary on the Nine Network’s Business Sunday.

Over those years he has provided critical analysis on the wide range of events and personalities that have shaped the nation, from the infamous eighties entrepreneurs to the – some might think, equally infamous – politicians.

Awards

He is a former Graham Perkin Journalist of the year, Financial Journalist of the year, has twice won the Melbourne Press Club’s Golden Quill Award, and is also a Walkley Award winner. He was recently admitted to the Journalism Hall of Fame.
