Previous experience

State of Origin: Wendell Sailor is an exceptional athlete who is revered as one of rugby league’s greatest ever wingers. In a league career spanning nine seasons with the Brisbane Broncos, Wendell crossed for a phenomenal 126 tries in 209 club games, and represented Queensland in 17 State of Origin matches and Australia in 21 internationals. In 2007 he was named one of the 20 best Broncos’ players of the club’s 20 year history.

World Cup: Wendell’s switch to rugby union in October 2001 attracted a blaze of publicity but his playing performances lived up to the hype, as he proved a key strike weapon for the Queensland Reds and the Wallabies, scoring the first try of the 2003 Rugby World Cup and playing in the final.

NRL: Wendell return to the NRL in 2009, winning the minor premiership with the St. George Illawarra Dragons, before announcing his retirement later that year.
